I graduated in 2005 from South-Doyle High School in Knox County. I began my college experience at Belmont University in Nashville, TN as a music minor. It didn't take long for me to realize that teaching was my true passion. I transferred to The University of Tennessee to begin my journey of becoming an educator. While at UTK, I was a Psychology major and graduated in 2009 with a B.A. in Psychology. I continued my education for another year by serving a full-year internship in a Knox County School while working on my master degree. I graduated in 2010 with my Master of Science degree with a Concentration in Elementary Teaching.

This school year marks my fifth year as an official licensed teacher. While working on my Master's Degree, I served a full-year internship in 3rd grade at Norwood Elementary School in Knox County. My first year of teaching was a year of flexibility! I had the pleasure of working in Clinton City Schools in two different positions. I fulfilled an interim position at South Clinton Elementary in the 5th grade until February 2011. I then fulfilled an interim position as a Reading Specialist at Clinton Elementary for Kindergarten for the remainder of the school year. I returned to South Clinton and taught fifth grade for a year. This is my third year in Kindergarten, and I have never been happier!

Hi! My name is Katie Beal and I am so excited about starting a new year! This will be my eighth year at South Clinton Elementary School. While teaching is a huge passion of mine, I also enjoy hanging out with friends and family, watching movies, reading, and playing with my puppy, Darcy. I am so excited about the upcoming school year!
