I received my Bachelors degree in English from the State University of New York. I received my Masters of Science in Special Education, modified and comprehensive (K-12) from the University of Tennessee. I feel it is important to continually enhance my skills as a teacher through various webinars, classes, and professional development.

I started my career in education working with struggling elementary, middle, and high school students in an after school program in New York. I have taught 6th-8th grade Reading and Language Arts in Pensacola, Florida. After moving to the East Tennessee area, I started working for Knox County in the middle school alternative program, as well as, working with Sylvan Learning Center.  Prior to coming to South Clinton Elementary School, I worked in Halls as a Special Education teacher for 7 years.

Hi and welcome to my page. This is my 10 th year of teaching Special Education. I have the privilege of working with each teacher and 2 fantastic paraprofessionals each day!  I love everyday I have teaching and take my job very serious. I have high expectations for all my students and I continually reflect on my teaching to ensure I am doing the most to help my students learn and grow. I have lived in Clinton for the past 10 years and I can often be found walking around the many antique stores and downtown with my dogs. Clinton is a unique town and I have valued every minute I have lived here.
