Born and raised in Toledo, Ohio, I moved to Kalamazoo, Michigan to pursue my Masters degree in Music.  It is also where I met my wife, Zofia.  A year after graduation, we moved to Chicago so that she could study violin at Northwestern University.  During this time I began my general music teaching career at St. Francis de Sales School in Lake Zurich, Illinois.  When our first child was born, we moved to Elkhart, Indiana.  After a year teaching at St. Anthony de Padua School, I was offered a position at Concord East Side Elementary in Elkhart, Indiana.  I taught there for ten years before moving down to Tennessee, where I now teach music to all of the students at both North and South Clinton Elementary Schools.  My wife is a violinist with the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra, and we have three fantastic children who also enjoy performing music.
