Calling all parents of students in grades 2-6, mark your calendars for these dates! 🗓️ Please encourage a good night’s rest and eating a healthy breakfast during this time. We are proud of our students and confident they are fully prepared to show what they know over the next two weeks!

Congratulations to Mrs. Amos on her grant from the Education Foundation! 5th students are incredibly interested in circuits and energy. Being geographically close to a major hydroelectric dam, students will explore the general workings of such engineering.

Spring Pictures are this Friday, March 31! This also includes 6th grade cap + gown pictures. Families will have the opportunity to order photos after they have been taken on the 31st!

It's READ WEEK! This year we plan to celebrate reading all week long! Beginning on Monday, February 27 - Friday, March 3: we will have dress-up days to match certain books.   *Monday - A Bad Case of Stripes - Wear Stripes *Tuesday – Cat In the Hat – Hat Day *Wednesday - Fox in Socks - Mismatched socks *Thursday - Book Character Day – Teacher’s choice of book *Friday - Llama Llama Red Pajama - Wear PJs Please do not allow your child to bring a pillow, blanket/throw, or stuffed animal on Friday.

Mark your CALENDARS! The 100th Day of School is next Wednesday, January 25th!! To celebrate we invite students to participate by dressing up as if they were 100 years old, or in some way that would represent 100. We also encourage you to work with them to create a collection of 100 of the same item to bring in no later than January 23rd. You may create a poster, place it in a bag, or use any other creative means to display your objects. The most creatively displayed collection from each class will be judged on January 24th and prizes will be awarded!

Make plans to join us Thursday, December 15th for lunch!🎄🎄 The cost for guests will be $5 cash only.

We did it!! Our Book Fair was a huge success! Thank you for making our Book Fair amazing, and one our students will remember!

We are halfway through the school year. Can you believe it!? We are going to finish out the school year strong by celebrating with spirit week next week December 12-16! Monday - Let’s keep the peace. Wear tie-dye. Tuesday - Bullying is Bad! Wear your plaid. Wednesday - Bully free from head to toe! Wear silly holiday attire. Thursday - Cozy up with kindness! Wear pajamas and fuzzy socks. Friday - Hats off to kindness! Wear your own favorite hat.

It's BACK! We are excited to have the Scholastic Book Fair at NCES!!! From Thursday, December 1st to December 9th, students will visit the fair during their regularly scheduled library class time. Save the date!!! 🇺🇸 Our Veterans Day Assembly will be this Friday, November 11th at 9:10 AM. We look forward to having you join us for this very special program to honor our veterans! Please be on the lookout for this paper that was sent home with your student.

Wear NCES or Blaze colors. Fun Friday - 10/28 - Celebrate life! Journey to the happiest place on earth. Wear your favorite Disney shirt. Be sure to check your child's folder for a list of activities! Sign off on each activity your family completes. Prizes will be given for those returned to Mrs. Rhea. Make sure to include your child's name to earn the prize!

TN has passed a new 3rd grade retention state law that goes into effect this school year for current 3rd graders. CCS will be hosting a parent meeting on Tuesday, September 6 at 5:30 p.m in the Clinton Elementary School gym to go over this new law. If you are a 3rd grade parent, please make plans to join us!

Yearbook order deadline is March 11th!

You should have received student TCAP reports and letters about the TCAP Family Portal from your child’s teacher. To enroll in the TCAP Family Portal use the Url: https://familyreport.tnedu.gov/login. Use your US ID. This is the number with 2 zeros in the beginning. Families may use the TCAP Family Portal to: access your student’s state test results via your phone or computer, track progress over time, learn the areas where your student demonstrated strengths, and the areas where they can still grow, and find clear next steps to help your student improve.

First day of School will be Monday, August 9th with early dismissal at 11:30am!
